Sample knit on worsted weight yarn, US Size 6 needles |
This stitch pattern makes very sloppy edges - I would definitely add a border of some sort to neaten it up
Notes:
- On Row 2, the first slipped stitch is slipped with the yarn in the back. The second slipped stitch is done with the yarn held in the front
- On Row 3, you will be working the slipped stitch and the yarn over from Row 2 at the same time, making 3 new stitches
Cast on any multiple of 5
Row 1: Purl all stitches (Right side)
Row 2: *Slip 1 knitwise, K1, Pass the slipped stitch over, YO, Slip one purlwise, K2tog*
Row 3: *P1, (Knit, Purl, Knit) into the Slipped stitch and the YO from previous row, P1*
Repeat from Row 2 for pattern
As always, here is a video of the stitch. Happy Knitting and Enjoy!
