Repeat these six rows for the pattern. Happy Knitting!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteLove your videos - so clear and easy to follow. I am doing a linen stitch scarf (from your revised video a few weeks ago) in a variegated sock yarn. I usually am not afraid to pick down a few rows to fix stitches rather than rip back rows and rows but I am really having trouble figuring out the stitch pattern to do this. Any chance you can make a "fix linen stitches" video any time soon?
Thanks,
Lynn from Canada
Well I think the only advice I can offer is to remember that this is really just stocking stitch with a strand running across the front of every other stitch of the row. Unless you have a really glaring mistake that has thrown off the stitch pattern, you could just leave it as is. If you do want to try fixing it, maybe work up a swatch and make a mistake, then practice fixing on the swatch before you try on the scarf.
ReplyDeleteThanks, the swatch thing is a good idea. I am just really picky and I can see some mistakes but unless the Knitting Police are lurking around I will just have to ignore them and be more careful with the rest of the scarf! This stitch works up beautifully in Berroco Sox Metallic as a 6 inch wide scarf.

Bob Ross always talked about 'happy little accidents'. In knitting and crocheting, I have found that if you make a mistake, repeat it somewhere else in the pattern a few times. Tell people the 'mistakes' are in the pattern on purpose. It works really well, and only you are the wiser. :-D
