Cast on an ODD number of stitches
Row 1: (WS) k1 *p1, k1
Row 2: p1 *slip next stitch purlwise tbl, p1
Row 3: k1 *slip next stitch wyif, k1
Row 4: p1 *ktbl, p1
Repeat these four rows for the pattern.
